English Learner Advisory Committee- ELAC
The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a parent group that meets approximately one time per month to discuss school supports for our children who are learning English. Children are categorized as "English Learners" when their parents enroll and mark on the enrollment forms that their child either speaks another language or is in a home where another language is prevalent. English Learners take the annual ELPAC assessment to determine when they have reached full English Fluency and can exit from the English Learner Program. The English Learner Advisory Committee ELAC supports the program by advising school leadership and School Site Council on curriculum, strategies, and goals that help English Learners to succeed.
